Canine Parvovirus is a dog viral disease that often attack small puppies more than adult dogs. The virus increase it number very quickly by dividing the cells of themself. The intestinal lining area are the place that contains most of these parvo disease. When your dog is infected they will have symptoms such as bloody diarrhea, clear signs of depression and suppression, vomiting, loss of appetite. In small puppies the infection can spread to the heart causing sudden death in many case.

Canine parvovirus can be spread through feces of the infected dog and the virus itself can survive longer than 9 months if the conditions is right.

It is usually take about seven to ten days to show parvo signs of infection. Parvo is highly contagious especially to unvaccine dogs. Parvo can also stay in materials so you must clear the places where you suspect and have risk of infecting with this deadly virus. Chlorine bleach is often used by veterinarians because it is cheap and effective.

Parvo is not an airborne type and your puppies can get infected by touching materials that can contains parvo virus such as shoes, hand etc. but feces contain the most. Infected bird at the backyard is one of the main concern because they usually find something to eat in your dog dish and water bowl so you must becareful and clear your backyard often. Always wash your hand, clothes, shoes and any other materials to reduce the risk of parvo infection for your dog.
